Abstract:Despite the fact that there are numerous uranium deposits in the world, the superlarge uranium deposits contribute a majority percentage of the world's total uranium resources with only a small number deposits, playing a crucial role in the production and supply of uranium. The superlarge uranium deposits have the preferentiality of mineralization type, with discontinuous surface-type, black shale-type, and sandstone-type being the best types for uranium exploration and development worldwide. The superlarge uranium deposits also show a clear preference of metallogenic era, region, and background, with the Proterozoic and Meso-cenozoic being peak periods for uranium mineralization, and Australia, Canada, Kazakhstan, Russia, Namibia, and South Africa being the main distribution areas and the main target areas for uranium exploration and development. The cratons are the top strategic choice for uranium exploration and development.
